BRANDON - 30’s, HAWAIIAN, MALE
Hawaiian mixed with Puerto Rican, Mexican, Black non Asian, Not typically handsome, but attractive and very successful with the ladies. Strong construction worker from the Big Island. Good person, but emotionally undeveloped. Concerned with appearances. Father of KEA main characters two children. He’s manipulative and can be very charming, walks with a chip on his shoulder. Cocky.
AMY - 60, ASIAN, FEMALE
A Korean-American bar maid roughly in her sixties, Amy is a tough, mama-san, who’s pretty in the dark. She’s not tall but height not as important as look. Slight accent. Obsessed with skin care, and has the ageless, frozen smile of many botox treatments. Smart.
UNCLE BULLY – 60, ASIAN, MALE
An Asian Hawaiian Marlon Brando in his 60s, Uncle Bully is soft-spoken but intimidating. Dan Inouye mixed with Bumpy Kanahele. The Godfather of the homeless park, the devil you know with his fingers in everything. He’s charming but controlling and knows how to get his way. Comfortable in his skin, been around more blocks than you know
QUEENIE - LATE 60’S- BRITISH OR WHITE
Homeless, Obese, Delusional. Sunburnt, Not pretty. Fancies herself Royalty. British accent.
GRANDMA – 70, FEMALE
Think LILIUOKALANI- A beautiful Hawaiian with a kind face. She struggles to hold onto the last vestiges of her mind, but still has the kind of smile that makes everyone love her. Genuine and sweet, she radiates peace and old knowledge.
SAMOAN LADY, TOW YARD CASHIER – 40S, FEMALE
Tough, Polynesian, not afraid to say NO!
HAWAIIAN GIANT, TOW YARD MUSCLE – 40S, MALE
The Muscle, intimidating, nobody fucks with him. Soft inside, Needs to be able to express emotions.
TOWER GIRLFRIEND – 25 max, FEMALE
She is a sexy 25 year old foreign Chinese women that looks like an instagram model- busty with a big bottom but skinny as hell. She kills in a bikini. Bi Lingual a plus.

GAS STATION WORKER – OLDER, MALE
Older Japanese or Korean local male.
HOMELESS DRUG ADDICT - FEMALE
Non-speaking role. A female drug addict, homeless and long on the streets, mentally unstable.
BRANDON’S MOM -LATE 50’S, HAWAIIAN, FEMALE
Non-speaking role. Broken emotionally, overworked, tired with life.
OLD CHINATOWN FISHERMAN / CRABBER – 80S, MALE
Non-speaking role. He’s thin and weathered from a life under the sun.
TOYOTA TRUCK DRIVER
Non-speaking role. He is a stoney, smiley Hawaiian driving a local-style, low-rider truck, almost exclusively listening to Jawaiian music. Not intimidating. Could be built big like brother Iz.
TOURIST COUPLE
Non-speaking role. We see them in the park at the end of the film. This is a white couple in Hawaii for the vacation dream, and they misinterpret Kea’s dance as a dance of Aloha, rather than what it really means.
KIDS
BOY WO – 7ISH, MALE
He resembles Peter Shinkoda at around seven years old. This role requires some real emotion. Withdrawn and meloncholy.
GIRL KEA - FEMALE
She is a dead ringer for Kea around 5 years old or so. KEA’s daughter
BABY BOY
Kea and Brandons son.
BIGGER HAWAIIAN GIRL
A large girl, big for a 5th grade class
SMALLER HAWAIIAN BOY
Small and sensitive for his age.
